Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s)
Here at Paul Fox, we have been producing Energy Performance Certificates now for over 10 years on 1000s of Residential properties. We have a dedicated in house team of Domestic Energy Assessors able to provide EPC’s on a wide range of type and size dwellings.
It is a Government requirement for properties that are to be sold or let have a current EPC. You may also wish to get an EPC carried out on your home even if you are not selling or renting it, so that you are fully aware of its Energy Performance and the measures you are able to take in order it improve its Energy Efficiency and its rating.
It is important to consider that an EPC lasts for 10 years from the date of issue, subsequently, should you carry out any improvements within this time you should consider having a new EPC provided so that you are aware of its up to date rating.
From April 2018, The Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) (England and Wales) Regulations 2015 will bring into force minimum energy efficiency standards (MEES) in the Residential and Commercial private rented sector. From April 1st 2018 it will be unlawful to grant new leases of residential or commercial property with an EPC rating below an ‘E’.
